Sinopse:
In the Information Age, human behavior is increasingly shaped and mediated by digital technologies. Algorithms, sensors, pervasive connectivity, Big Data analytics, artificial intelligence, and cloud computing have rapidly transformed cultural dynamics, marketing practices, and political processes. As humans interact more frequently with intelligent technological systems, profound challenges emerge for both law and ethics. This book explores how legislation should respond to the complex data-driven environment in which we now live. It highlights the urgency of building a secure technological future grounded in robust information governance, facing the pressing task of developing new frameworks capable of addressing the long-term impacts of artificial intelligence. These frameworks must be continuously refined through new analytical and regulatory perspectives. Through an examination of the Internet of Things and new advanced AI systems, this work analyzes the ethical and legal tensions that arise from the hyperconnected and data-driven world. It provides a critical discussion of the major contemporary challenges, aiming to support responsible innovation and the creation of fair, effective, and future-oriented regulation.
